The artist is Roerich
In 1915, Roerich and his family were leaving from St. Petersburg to a small town in Karelia (Sortavala), where the course of treatment undergoes. Here he creates a cycle of paintings on Finland. “Holy Island” – one of them. It recreated the image of absolute silence and silence – a state characteristic of the harsh nature of Finland, which Roerich loved deeply and sincerely.
